School Counseling Week

Dear Hinds County School District Families,

We are pleased to share that Hinds County School District schools will be OPEN tomorrow as weather and road conditions across the county have continued to improve.

We appreciate the patience, flexibility, and resilience shown by our families, staff, and community during this period of extreme cold and recent power and water disruptions. Thanks to the dedication of our principals, staff, and volunteers, our schools remain places of learning, care, and community support.

As we return to normal operations, we recognize that some families may still be experiencing challenges related to water or power outages. If your family is still experiencing water or power issues, please contact your school principal for support. Our school leaders will work with families to provide assistance as needed.

Please continue to allow extra travel time, dress students warmly, and use caution during morning commutes.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to support our students, families, and staff.
