Raymond, Miss. - Hinds County School District is changing the way educators are recruited with the launch of HCSD Educator Draft Night, a new teacher job fair experience held during live high school basketball games.
The district will host the events during home games at Terry High School on January 23, 2026, and Raymond High School on January 27, 2026, offering educators a VIP experience that includes reserved seating, access to district leaders and principals, and opportunities to explore teaching positions across the district.
“This is more than a job fair,” said district leaders. “It is a chance for educators to experience our schools, our community, and our culture of Love, Hope & Leadership in a real and engaging way.”
HCSD is a B-rated school district and is recognized by the Mississippi Department of Education as a District of Innovation. District leaders say Educator Draft Night reflects a commitment to recruiting, supporting, and valuing educators as champions.
VIP access is limited, and registration is required. Educators can register by clicking the link: https://lnkd.in/guNUfvsr.
Educator Draft Night is open to student teachers, certified teachers, alternate-route candidates, instructional specialists, coaches, and HCSD alumni interested in returning home.
