Mrs. Alexis White is a dedicated and dynamic educator entering her 9th year in education. She has served in a variety of impactful roles, including classroom teacher, team leader, Lead ELA Instructional Specialist, Assistant Principal, and now proudly serves as Principal at Utica Elementary Middle School.
Her career began in the Rankin County School District, where she built a strong foundation in instructional excellence and leadership. She served as a second grade teacher and team lead. In 2020, she made her transition to Hinds County School District, where she taught 2nd grade at GRE. Throughout her journey, she has remained committed to creating a supportive, high-achieving school culture; one that fosters academic growth and empowers educators to reach their fullest potential. This led to a change in positions where she was afforded the opportunity to directly impact teacher growth as an ELA Instructional Specialist to support teachers in grades PreK-12.
Mrs. White holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Belhaven University, a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College.
A firm believer in lifelong learning and collaborative leadership, she is looking forward to much success at UEMS. She is a Ranger at the C.O.R.E., always Committed, Outstanding, Responsible, and Empowered!
