        Dr. Thames is a resident of Florence, MS, who has been working in Hinds County for four years. The University of Southern Mississippi is where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Special Education. Following that, she went on to earn her doctorate in Education Administration from North Central University. Her career in education has been a rewarding 33 years.

        She began her years in Hinds County as a teacher at Terry, and she went on to be an administrator in the district. We are happy that she landed as our Assistant Principal here at THS.

        She loves reading and helping children in all capacities. Dr. Thames and her husband Tommy have a combined 7 children and one grandchild.
