My name is Tamara Mangum. Welcome to my class! This is my first year teaching school. I am married and have two boys. I grew up in Jackson, MS 

I currently live in Florence, MS.   I have a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Mississippi College. I was a Social Worker for nine years. I worked

 at Family and Children's Services, Hudspeth Regional Center and MS State Hospital on the children and adolescent building. I decided to become a 

stay-at-home mom after practing Social Work for several years. I have been a substitute teacher for Rankin County Schools for over ten years. I 

really enjoyed being a substitute teacher, so I decided to get my teacher's license. I have endorsements in Special Education, Social Studies and I 

am working on getting my endorsement in English. I have a heart for children and adolescents with special needs. I am very excited to work with my 

students this school year.
