This year marks my 14th year as a teacher. I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Education from Mississippi College. I also have endorsements in social studies and gifted education. I've taught 6th through 12th ELA and Math, GED classes and Quest 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th.

I believe that a teacher is morally obligated to enter the classroom with only the highest expectations for each and every student. Challenge is essential for growth. I want my students to fall in love with learning: to create, question, and explore throughout their lifetime. I hope to instill a love of learning within them, as I share my passion for learning with them. I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe that I owe it to my students, as well as the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job each day in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in the children as well. I feel that teaching is the most important occupation in the world. There is no other profession that touches every child.
