My name is DeAndria F. Sylvester and I am originally from Jackson, MS.  This is my second year as a counselor at Carver Middle School and 8th year in education. I strive daily to meet the needs and encourage all of my students.  I am always open for any questions you may have via email, telephone or conference.

Some of my responsibilities in my role as counselor are: School Test Coordinator, Enrollment, Records, Report Cards/Progress Reports, Tier II/ Tier III Counselor, Small group, and Awards Day.

I have a wonderful husband named Jermaine Sylvester and two equally precious daughters in my life; my daughters, Kylee, who is 3 years old, and Khloe, who is 5 months.  I enjoy spending time with my children, attending church, and shopping.  My educational philosophy is simply, “Aspire to inspire always.”
