Hello, I am Joyce Moore-Dawson and I bring you greeting from the Empire State.  I am a native of Utica, NY.  After graduating from Stony Brook University (Long Island, NY). I moved to Syracuse, NY.  That is where I met a great guy from Utica, MS who convinced me to relocate. I miss the snow and cold a little, but I love this new place I call home. 

I earned a BS in Applied Math and Statistics and did various "number crunching" jobs. Teaching has always been something I longed to do, so I switched careers in 2000 and earned an MAT in Adolescent Education from Empire State College.  Earning my Masters degree was very challenging for me, but along the way I learned some valuable lifelong lessons. 

This is my fifth year at Raymond HS and I am teaching Geometry and SREB Math Ready or Essentials for College Math.  I am also a co-sponsor of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Club) and assist with the Chess Club.

When I am not working you can find me swimming at the local college pool or taking a long walk.
