Mrs. Bethany Stubblefield

My name is Bethany Stubblefield and this is my 19th year in education! I spent the first 12 years in the classroom teaching English/Language Arts, Math, and Science/Social Studies.

I graduated from Mississippi State University with my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I received my National Board Certification in 2007 and completed my Master’s Degree at Mississippi College in 2011. I began my career at Raymond Elementary in 2002 and loved my six years there. After three years in another district, I returned to Hinds County School District where I taught 5th grade science and language arts at GRI.  I was named Gary Road Intermediate School Teacher of the Year and then Hinds County School District Teacher of the Year for 2014.  For two years, I served as an academic interventionist.

I moved into the librarian position four years ago. This year is my fifth year in the library, but it feels like a whole new first year! We are branching off into new, uncharted territory as we adapt to the new safety precautions of this era. We will work through google classroom and zoom to explore library skills, internet etiquette, and computer programming.
