    Welcome to the HCSD Information Technology Help Desk 
    The Technology Department provides technical support services to all students and staff in the Hinds School District. Internet access, curriculum software and other essential electronic resources are served over a fiber-optic network connecting our ten schools and district administration building. Technology has become a vital tool in all aspects of the educational process throughout the entire organization. Schools are equipped at every level with a wide-array of computing devices in both classroom and lab model settings.  This year we will introduce a 1: take home initiative for studnets in grade 6-12 as well as a 1:1 in school initiative for studnets in grades Pre-K thru 5.   Many staff members seamlessly integrate technology into the teaching and learning process. Through our support of these technology initiatives, we continue to strive to meet the needs and expectations of our staff and students in our endeavor to ENGAGE • EMPOWER • ENSURE • EXCELLENCE

    We are a technical support team that provides prompt, knowledgeable and courteous computing support services over the telephone and on-site, through work orders, telephone calls and emails to the employees and board members of the Hinds County School District.  I.T. Help Desk is the central point of contact for iPad/MacBook repair or questions, TaTrack, INow, District Website, Password assistance, etc. where all I.T. problems can be reported and questions can be answered. We will attempt to resolve the issue on the first call.  If I.T. Help Desk cannot resolve the issue, we will escalate to second level, third level, or be directed to the appropriate person or department.
