    Reading Fair
    Planning Information.  Building level fairs may begin in October and continue until mid January. The District Fair will be held in January at Carver Middle School in Raymond.
     
    		  
    Spelling Bee
    School winners must be determined no later than late , when the registration form is due to the Student Services office and to Jackson Public Schools. The County Bee (which includes JPS, Clinton, Hinds County and all private and home school students in Hinds County) will be held in February. 
     
    		  
    Science Fair
    The regional science fair competition at JSU is generally scheduled during the February-March time frame each year. School winners advance directly to the regional competition.
     
    		  
    Elementary Music Festival & Annal Art Exhibit
    This festival and Art Exhibit is generally scheduled during the April-May time frame each year.
