    • Summer Reading List 2013 Summer Reading List - Hinds County Public School District suggested Summer Reading Lists in order to encourage and support reading achievement over the summer.  The Summer Reading lists contain suggestions for reading; although students may read any other book that is approved by their parents.

    • Summer Reading Survey
      In an effort to better serve you we have developed a series of questions designed to help the Hinds County School District make informed decisions for providing the necessary materials and resources for our children. Please answer each question as completely as possible. If you are unsure, please provide the best answer you can based on your level of agreement with the statement.       Please welcome new board member: Bill Elkins.   Mr. Elkins will fill the term vacated by Angel Skinner who recently moved out of her district.

    • Hinds County School District Federal Programs Annual Parent Survey.  Parents are asked to complete the annual parent survey.  Your responses to the survey will allow the schools and the district to better meet your child's educational needs.  To complete the survey on line [click here] .

    • Safe and Drug Free Schools SmartTrack Survey  Parents, students in grades 6-11 will participate in an anonymous drug prevalence survey beginning February 11th and ending on March 8th. Parents and guardians may view the survey and determine if they wish for their child(ren) NOT to participate by returning the form attached to the sample survey beginning February 11 thru March 8, 2013.  To view the form and survey [click here]

      Parents should direct all questions regarding bus transportation, bus routes, time, etc. to Durham Services at 601-857-5562. Any concerns regarding safety, discipline, etc should first be addressed at the school level, then, if necessary, to the Athletic/Activities Director at 601-857-5222.
